Dina Lowery V. spent her childhood in West Virginia where she played along the paths among forest trees, waded in the water or walked along the creek banks collecting wild flowers. Her paintings frequently reflect the dream-like memories of her childhood.

"My work is my expression, where words are left off, to relinquish back interpretations of either aesthetic experiences or emotional incidences. I select mediums that feel right. You will most commonly see the usage of gold or silver leafing or a gloss varnish as a consistency. The reflective quality reminds me of the optimistic aspects of life. Layering and subtracting of different textures creates a depth to my work that not only gives a physical dimension but an emotional one. My chosen paint medium is acrylic. It allows me to work through expressions/interpretations while they are still with me."

Dina has always returned to her creative side. Careers have taken her to different professional realms. Her bachelor's degree is in counseling and rehabilitation. After almost 7 years in this profession she returned to school. Originally, the art classes were only to find reprieve from here job in Psych Rehab but she could not ignore the feeling of home that she felt while creating. With the encouragement of a professor, Dina found herself pursuing an Interior Design degree, a profession that allowed her to create and not starve. After establishing her own company in 1995, Dina has been successful as an Interior Designer with national awards and exposure with the filming of "Designer's Challenge" on Home and Garden Television (HGTV).
