Style: French Country anchored by Tradition

Services: Assist client from blueprint stage through construction; design and implement all interior needs.

Project time: 2 years

Job Description: In reviewing the blueprints it was important to establish a plan that created an upscale casual look that would allow the combination of French Country and Tradition. In creating this specific look careful selections were address concerning all surfaces, lighting, cabinetry design and architectural details; cabinetry took on a furniture appearance with glazed finishes, tiles selected had a weathered look as though it had been there for decades, lighting had combinations of iron and crystal and wainscoting details adorn the dining room and butler’s pantry. For the interior decor, we utilized an established palette from the former home but just updated the colors. We changed the once pink reds to the now cinnamon reds and the hunter green to a medium blue-green hue. The French Country approach allowed a collected look of not only the existing traditional furnishings owned by the client but it allowed the introduction of distressed, painted pieces and iron work. The fabric selections provide different textures and patterns for this eclectic look.

Result: The home has a look of casual sophistication.
